AristoCraft Trains offered a switch tower that came in a yellow and brown color with a set of steps on the side that took up too much space and didnít look realistic. It also was not finished on the inside, so I decided to kitbash the model to make it right for my New York Central railroad.

I removed the unrealistic set of stairs and painted the tower in NYC grays. The building interior was not finished and didn't look right through the windows of the tower. I painted the inside of the office area and finished the chimney realistically.
Switch towers had a set of switch lever throw bars to control the switches in the yards. I constructed some by using a picture of the prototype and wood, styrene and copper wire.
I installed the throw bars in the tower office.
I added furniture and people to the office and the end result is very real. The tower placed outside on the outdoor railroad.
